Clearance – Basic Level
In this course, we discuss clearance in a European context. We follow the framework set by the Swedish regulation for clearance, which integrates the requirements of 2013/59/Euratom, EU RP 122 Part 1, and EU RP 113. The course covers the clearance of materials, building structures, and land in an overarching manner.
Course Objectives
The goal of the course is to provide a basic understanding and knowledge of:
- The regulations governing the clearance process
- Clearance levels
- Measurement methodology in clearance contexts
- The importance of nuclide vectors for clearance
- Quality assurance
Target groups
Individuals with experience in the nuclear industry who either:
- Work with the clearance of materials, building structures, or areas
- Have a specific technical interest in the above issues
Prerequisities
- More than 6 months of experience in the nuclear industry
- For the role of Measurer - Health physics, first course
- For the role of Evaluator - Health physics, second course
